Youth and Young Adults
Our youth and young adults are the future leaders of the church. At ChristWay UMC, we value the vibrant insights and contributions that they bring to our congregation. We are committed to fostering leadership through Sunday School, Wednesday night, End of the Year Gathering, and other activities that will engage their spiritual journey.
If you have children between the ages of 11- 17 yrs old, as well as young adults. They are invited to join ChristWay UMC’s Youth for Wednesday Youth nights where they will learn more about the Gospels of Jesus Christ and begin their journey of Faith along with other youth and young adults.
From 6th- 8th grade, Junior High engages in reading from God’s word, having discussions, and fellowships. As a pre-teen, learning how to navigate genuine faith, understand God’s grace, and how to love one another.
From 9th- 12th grade, Senior High seeks to follow Jesus through scripture knowledge, worship, and fellowship. Senior High is the pivotal transition from navigating being a teenager and growing to become future leaders of the Church.
At 18+, Young Adults are picking up their crosses, engaging in leadership, discipleship, while sharpening one another in Biblical studies and fellowship.
ChristWay UMC also offers Confirmation classes for those wishing to extend their Faith and are initiated into the new covenant in Jesus Christ and membership in the Church, Christ’s body in the world. For more information on Confirmation, please read more about it here: http://www.umc.org/what-we-believe/beyond-baptism-what-confirmation-means-to-united-methodists.
